Professor Shebaro earned his Black Belt from Carlos Machado in 2004 and is currently ranked as a 3rd degree Black Belt under Professor Chris Haueter. He was 1 of only 4 Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the U.S. Army and is the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt in Special Forces Regiment. Most importantly, Professor Shebaro has trained a broad spectrum of operators during his deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. These operators included U.S. Army Special Forces from all Groups (Active Duty and National Guard), U.S. Army Rangers, U.S. Navy SEALs, U.S. Air Force Special Operations, Tactical Air Control Party (TACPs), Combat Controllers (CCTs), and U.S. Marine Force Recon. .  Alan Shebaro has spent a great deal of time training members of the DFW area’s Law Enforcement professionals as well as the FBI Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) and Federal Law Enforcement in Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics (LEDT).

Since leaving the military, Professor Shebaro has returned to Texas and has turned his attention to training and producing top athletes of all ages and backgrounds as young as 5 years old on up to 50+ years old in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Wrestling, producing the highest caliber athletes for both Competitive and Self Defense. Not only is Professor Shebaro still actively competing in National and International Competitions but the training that makes him a major competitor is passed down to his athletes so that the athletes can consistently evolve and receive the best training possible.

Professor Alan Shebaro started Olympic Weightlifting in April 2012 to develop explosive strength to cross train for Jiu Jitsu.  It did not take long to develop a passion for the sport, and within 4 months, he  began competing. With under a year of training, Coach Alan Shebaro placed 2nd at the 2012 USAW Masters American Open and set 2 State records for Clean & Jerk and Total at the 2013 USAW Texas State Championships.

Starting his martial arts career early in high school wrestling, Jonathon became infatuated with all aspects of combat sports. After graduation, Jonathon moved to Arizona and made an immediate transition into the MMA scene back in 2006. After training and competing in the Phoenix Metropolitan area from 2006-2010, Jonathon made a move to Dallas, Texas looking to expand his experience in traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. His Journey brought him to the doorstep of 2x NO-GI World Champion Professor JD Shelley (Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti Black Belt) and Muay Thai Arjan Carlos Moreno (Arjan under Chansadeth "Cheetah" Chanthanao) of Cheetah Muay Thai/AMTA in 2011. Reaching the level of Blue Belt under Professor JD Shelley, Jonathon was looking to expand his knowledge in the art and philosophy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With the recommendation of Arjan Carlos Moreno, both he and his Muay Thai instructor made the move to train with the 2nd Degree Gracie Black Belt Professor Marcus Neuenshwander (Carlos Gracie Jr. 2nd Degree Black Belt). Jonathon's love grew drastically for the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Training hard over the course of the next 2 years, Jonathon was able to compete in the IBJJF World Championships, advance his way through Purple Belt, and was promoted to Brown Belt in September of 2014. Unfortunate circumstances forced Professor Marcus Neuenshwander back to his home town in Brazil opening a new opportunity for Jonathon to study under Brazilian Professor Pedro Mello (Alexandre de Souza Black Belt). After a short 12 months, Professor Pedro Mello had decided to return to his home town in Brazil. Looking for a new home, Jonathon found his way to Tier 1 Training Facility, studying under head instructor Alan Shebaro, Jonathon was awarded his Black Belt October 30th, 2016. His heartfelt passion for the art and similar goals to that of his Professor, he thrives to compete in the most prestigious tournaments in the world. While Jonathon is not training, he is a full time professional working in the financial industry for the last 13 years.
